Master Reset Instructions
A master reset restores the original factory settings and may delete your personal data on the internal storage, such as downloaded content, ringtones, images, apps, and contacts. It does not delete data stored on the SIM card or SD card.
To perform a master reset, follow these steps:
1. From the Home screen, tap the Menu.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Scroll down to ‘PERSONAL,’ then tap Backup and reset.
4. Scroll down to ‘Personal data,’ then tap Factory data reset.
5. Tap Reset phone.
6. Tap Erase everything.
Hard Reset Instructions
A hard reset, also known as a factory reset or master reset, is the restoration of a device to the state it was in when it left the factory. All settings, applications and data added by the user are removed.
In order to perform a hard reset, follow these steps:
1. Turn off the device.
2. Remove the back cover.
3. Remove the SIM card. Wait several seconds then re-install the SIM card and replace the back cover.
4. Press and hold down the Volume up key and the Power button at the same time until a menu screen appears.
5. Press the Volume down button to select Recovery.
6. Press the Power button to select the language you would prefer.
7. Use the Volume down key to navigate to wipe data/factory reset.
8. Press the Power button to select this option.
9. Press Volume down to select "Yes — delete all user data".
10. Press Power button to select.
11. Select reboot system now.
12. The phone will reset.
