Master Reset Instructions
Master reset from settings menu
A master reset restores the original factory settings and may delete your personal data on the internal storage, such as downloaded content, ringtones, images, apps, and contacts. It does not delete data stored on the SIM card or SD card.
To perform a master reset, follow these steps:
1. Back up all data on the internal memory
2. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
3. 1. Tap System settings.
4. 2. Tap Backup & reset.
5. 3. Tap Factory data reset.
6. 4. Tap Reset phone.
7. 5. Tap Erase everything.
Master reset with hardware keys
WARNING: Performing a hard reset procedures on your LG Optimus Regard delete all user applications and data. Please remember to back up any important data before performing these procedures. To reset your mobile phone:
1. Turn the power off.
2. Press and hold the following keys at the same time: Power/Lock Key + the Down Volume Key.
3. Release the Power/Lock Key and the down Volume Key when you see the Factory Hard Reset screen.
4. Press the Power/Lock Key to confirm (or press any other key to cancel). When you press the Power/Lock Key to confirm, the message “Are you sure
you want to continue with erase?” is displayed.
5. Press the Power/Lock Key and your phone will be restored to the factory settings. To cancel, press the Volume Keys.
