Master Reset Instructions

Factory Data Reset is a tool used to remove everything that was imported, added or installed on the device. Keep in mind, when using this feature everything is deleted. Nothing stored on the Micro SD or the internal phone storage will be affected unless you choose to erase it as well.

Master reset from settings menu

1. Go to the Menu of your handset.

2. Next, go to “Settings”.

3. Select the “Backup and Reset” option.

4. Next, choose the “Factory data reset phone” option.

5. Select “Reset phone” and wait for the procedure to be completed.

Master reset with hardware keys

1. First, turn off the Motorola E.

2. Enter your device into fast boot mode by pressing simultaneously the “Volume Down” and “Power” buttons.

3. navigate through the menu using the “Volume” buttons. Go to the “Recovery” option and select it by pressing the “Power” button.

4. Now, chose the “wipe data factory reset”, “wipe cache partition” and “wipe dalvick cache” options.

5. Scroll down and select “yes” to confirm that you want to remove all files.

6. Once finished, go back to main menu of recovery and select ‘Reboot system now’.
