Master Reset Instructions

A master reset restores the original factory settings and may delete your personal data on the internal storage, such as downloaded content, ringtones, images, apps, and contacts. It does not delete data stored on the SIM card or SD card.

To perform a master reset, follow these steps:

1. Turn on your Samsung smartphone.

2. Touch and Press Menu Button.

3. Go to Setting Menu.

4. Scroll and select Backup & reset.

5. Tap Factory data reset.

6. Next Reset phone.

7. Select erase everything. After factory reset your phone will reboot.

Hard Reset Instructions

A hard reset, also known as a factory reset or master reset, is the restoration of a device to the state it was in when it left the factory. All settings, applications and data added by the user are removed.

In order to perform a hard reset, follow these steps:

1. Power off your phone.

2. Press and hold together Power button + Home button + Volume Up button.

 

3. Keep pressing the above keys until Samsung logo appears, release Power key only.

4. Select, using Volume buttons, option “wipe data/factory reset“, and confirm with Power button.

5. Then confirm operation using Power button.

6. Finally, Choose the option “reboot system“.
