Master Reset Instructions

A master reset restores the original factory settings and may delete your personal data on the internal storage, such as downloaded content, ringtones, images, apps, and contacts. It does not delete data stored on the SIM card or SD card.

To perform a master reset, follow these steps:

1. From the home screen, press the Menu key.

2. Tap Settings.

3. Tap Privacy.

4. Tap Factory data reset.

5. Read the warning and tap Reset phone.

6. Read the warning and tap erase everything.

Hard Reset Instructions

A hard reset, also known as a factory reset or master reset, is the restoration of a device to the state it was in when it left the factory. All settings, applications and data added by the user are removed.

In order to perform a hard reset, follow these steps:

1. With the handset turned off, press and hold the Volume Down key.

2. With the Volume Down key held down, press and hold the Power key.

3. Release all keys when the Android system recovery menu appears. Press the Volume Down key to scroll to wipe data/factory reset.

4. With wipe data/factory reset highlighted, press the Power key.

5. Press the Volume Down key to scroll to yes–delete all user data.

6. With Yes–delete all user data highlighted, press the Power key.

7. Once the wipe is complete, press the Volume Down key to scroll to wipe cache partition.

8. With wipe cache partition highlighted, press the Power key.

9. Once the wipe is complete, press the Power key to select reboot system now.
