Master Reset Instructions
A master reset restores the original factory settings and may delete your personal data on the internal storage, such as downloaded content, ringtones, images, apps, and contacts. It does not delete data stored on the SIM card or SD card.
To perform a master reset, follow these steps:
1. Tap the Menu key.
2. Tap Settings. Select the Privacy settings, and scroll down to Factory reset.
3. Select the Backup and reset settings, and scroll down to Factory reset.
Hard Reset Instructions
A hard reset, also known as a factory reset or master reset, is the restoration of a device to the state it was in when it left the factory. All settings, applications and data added by the user are removed.
In order to perform a hard reset, follow these steps:
1. Switch off the phone by holding the Power button.
2. Press and hold together Power + Volume Up button for several seconds.
3. You can release held keys when the Recovery Mode appears on the screen.
4. Press Volume Down to choose "wipe data/factory reset", and then push the Power button to confirm your decision.
5. Select "Yes–delete all user data". Use Volume buttons to scroll and Power to select.
6. To restart the phone, select "reboot system now". Success! The hard reset is done!
