Master Reset Instructions

A master reset restores the original factory settings and may delete your personal data on the internal storage, such as downloaded content, ringtones, images, apps, and contacts. It does not delete data stored on the SIM card or SD card.

To perform a master reset, follow these steps:

1. From any home screen, tap Apps.

2. Tap Settings.

3. Scroll down to ‘PERSONAL,’ then tap Backup & reset.

4. Scroll down to ‘PERSONAL DATA,’ then tap Factory data reset.

5. Tap Reset phone.

6. Tap Erase everything.

Hard Reset Instructions

A hard reset, also known as a factory reset or master reset, is the restoration of a device to the state it was in when it left the factory. All settings, applications and data added by the user are removed.

In order to perform a hard reset, follow these steps:

1. Turn off the device.

2. Press and hold down the Volume up and Power keys at the same.

3. When the device vibrates, release the Power key.

4. When the Android system recovery menu displays, release the Volume keys.

5. Use the Volume up/down key to highlight your preferred language.

6. Press the Power key to select.

7. Use the Volume up/down key to highlight wipe data/factory reset.

8. Press the Power key to select.

9. Press the Volume down key to select "Yes
