Master Reset Instructions
A master reset restores the original factory settings and may delete your personal data on the internal storage, such as downloaded content, ringtones, images, apps, and contacts. It does not delete data stored on the SIM card or SD card.
To perform a master reset, follow these steps
1. 1. Touch home key > All apps icon > Settings, settings app icon > Backup & reset.
2. 2. Touch Factory data reset.
3. 3. Read the factory data reset information, select the Erase SD card check box if necessary, and touch Reset phone.
4. 4. Touch Erase everything. Your phone will power down and reset itself, which may take up to 10 minutes.
Hard Reset Instructions
A hard reset, also known as a factory reset or master reset, is the restoration of a device to the state it was in when it left the factory. All settings, applications and data added by the user are removed.
In order to perform a hard reset, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the device is powered off.
2. If screen is frozen Remove/Reinsert/Battery.
3. Press and hold the Volume Down button figure 1 then press and hold the Power button figure 2 until the ‘Kyocera’ logo appears approximately 10 to 15 seconds then release.
4. From the ‘Android system recovery’ screen exclamation point with an android figure, select Wipe data/Factory reset.
5. Utilize the Volume keys to highlight and the Power button to select.
6. Select Yes — delete all user data.
7. Allow several seconds for the factory data reset process to complete
8. Select Reboot system now.
9. Allow several minutes for the reboot process to complete.
10. To setup the device after completion of the factory reset, refer to Initial Activation and Setup.
