Master reset from settings menu

  1. Power off your cell phone.
  2. Now from the Home screen select Menu.
  3. Then tap Settings -> Back up and reset -> Reset device -> Delete all.
  4. Confirm all information, and wait until your phone will reset and reboots.
  5. Success!

Master reset with hardware keys

A master reset restores the original factory settings and may delete your personal data on the internal storage, such as downloaded content, ringtones, images, apps, and contacts. It does not delete data stored on the SIM card or SD card.

If the device menus are frozen or unresponsive, you can master reset using hardware keys. To perform a master reset, follow these steps:

  1. Press Power button to switch off device.
  2. Press and hold Volume Down + Power button.
  3. When LG logo will appear on screen release buttons.
  4. You will enter the Android system recovery menu.
  5. Use Volume Rockers to navigate on wipe data/factory reset and press Power key to select it.
  6. After the data wipe is complete, press the down Volume Key to scroll to reboot system now and press Power key to select it.
  7. Done device is ready to use.
