Hard Reset Instructions

A hard reset, also known as a factory reset or master reset, is the restoration of a device to the state it was in when it left the factory. All settings, applications and data added by the user are removed.

In order to perform a hard reset, follow these steps:

1. Turn off the phone.

Note: If the phone is unresponsive and does not turn off, remove the battery and then re-insert it.

2. Hold the Volume Up and Volume Down keys.

3. Press and hold the Power key. Continue holding it and the Volume keys at the same time.

3. When a black screen with yellow text appears, you may release the keys. Blue text appears at the top of the screen with options.

4. Press the Volume Down key to scroll to Wipe Data/Factory Reset when the Android master reset menu appears.

5. Press the Power key to select it.

6. Press the Volume Down key to scroll down to Yes — delete all user data.

7. Press the Power key to select it.

8. Wait for a few seconds as the phone clears information.

9. Press the Power key to select reboot system now.

10. Wait as the phone restarts.
