Master Reset Instructions
A master reset restores the original factory settings and may delete your personal data on the internal storage, such as downloaded content, ringtones, images, apps, and contacts. It does not delete data stored on the SIM card or SD card.
To perform a master reset, follow these steps:
1. Go to Menu.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Tap select Back up and reset options.
4. Quickly locate factory data reset and tap it.
5. Wait while phone is rebooted.
Hard Reset Instructions
A hard reset, also known as a factory reset or master reset, is the restoration of a device to the state it was in when it left the factory. All settings, applications and data added by the user are removed.
In order to perform a hard reset, follow these steps:
1. Turn off your Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini.
2. Press together volume up + home button + power button simultaneously.
3. Once Samsung’s logo is displayed, release your hands.
4. Use volume buttons to navigate to “Wipe data/Factory reset.
5. Use the Power button to select your option.
6. Select “yes” with your volume buttons and select it with power button.
7. Select Reboot System Now.
