Master Reset Instructions
A master reset restores the original factory settings and may delete your personal data on the internal storage, such as downloaded content, ringtones, images, apps, and contacts. It does not delete data stored on the SIM card or SD card.
To perform a master reset, follow these steps:
1. From the Home screen tap the Menu key.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Tap Privacy.
4. Tap Factory data reset.
5. Tap Reset phone.
6. Tap Erase everything.
Hard Reset Instructions
A hard reset, also known as a factory reset or master reset, is the restoration of a device to the state it was in when it left the factory. All settings, applications and data added by the user are removed.
In order to perform a hard reset, follow these steps:
1. Turn the device off.
2. Slide-out the phone.
3. Simultaneously press and hold the Power key and the T key on the slide-out keyboard until the Android system recovery screen displays.
4. Press the Volume key down to scroll to wipe data / factory reset.
5. Press the Power key to select.
6. Press the Volume key down to select yes – Wipe user data.
7. Press the Power key.
8. Press the Volume key down to scroll to reboot system now.
9. Press the Power key to confirm.
